Obverse description Central field bears a multi-line Persian inscription in Nasta'liq script, reading the kalima or royal titles of Shah Alam Bahadur, divided by a horizontal band across the coin's diameter. The AH regnal date appears within the inscription field. Decorative floral or pellet ornaments are visible in the margins. The legends are struck in high relief characteristic of Mughal hammered coinage.
