The upper register carries the mint name 'Zarb Ahmadabad' indicating the place of striking, accompanied by a crescent moon symbol and decorative pellet ornaments in the field. The lower register reads 'Julus Maimanat Manus,' meaning 'the accession associated with tranquil prosperity,' with the regnal year numeral appearing at the base. The flan is irregularly shaped, as is typical of hammered coinage of this period, with the legend extending nearly to the rim. |
