Obverse description The obverse features bold Urdu/Devanagari calligraphic legends in the field, inscribed in the name of Maharaja Sardar Singh and Queen Victoria, rendered in the traditional Indo-Persian style characteristic of Bikaner princely state coinage. The text is arranged in multiple diagonal lines across the flan, with decorative pellets interspersed between the inscription elements. The broad, flowing script fills the field entirely, consistent with Mughal-derived rupee typology. The irregular, slightly scalloped flan edge is typical of hammered coinage produced at the Bikaner mint during this period.

Reverse description The reverse displays multi-line calligraphic legends in Arabic/Urdu script across the field, incorporating the Vikrama Samvat (VS) regnal date at the top of the inscription. Mint marks associated with the successive rulers Gaj Singh, Surat Singh, Ratan Singh, and Sardar Singh are present within the design, following the Bikaner tradition of cumulative dynastic mint marks. The script is rendered in bold relief with characteristic dot separators between legend lines. The overall composition is typical of the hammered rupees produced under Bikaner state authority in the mid-nineteenth century.
