Reverse description Three registers of bold Nasta'liq Arabic calligraphy occupy the full reverse field, separated by raised horizontal linear bands. The upper register records the regnal year (Sanah 1, Julus), indicating the first year of the emperor's accession, while the lower register bears the mint name Zarb Dar-ul-Khilafat Shahjahanabad, identifying Delhi as the place of issue. Small floral rosette ornaments appear in the field between the script lines, a typical decorative feature of Mughal Shahjahanabad mint issues. The hammered flan displays the slightly uneven surfaces and irregular edge contour characteristic of hand-struck Mughal coinage of this period.
