| Descrizione del rovescio | The reverse presents a multi-line Persian or Urdu legend arranged in horizontal bands across the field, likely containing the regal title, mint name, and regnal year consistent with issues struck in the name of Queen Victoria for the Karauli princely state. A horizontal dividing line separates the upper and lower inscription registers. The border is composed of a continuous row of small rhombus or square ornaments, a decorative device typical of Rajputana feudatory coinage of the mid-nineteenth century. The coin shows the characteristic irregular flan and variable strike of hammered silver production. |

Karauli was among the smaller Rajput princely states that retained coining rights under the British paramountcy system, though by 1859 the East India Company had just been dissolved following the Rebellion of 1857 and the Crown had assumed direct authority. The timing makes this issue transitional — struck under a political order that was itself weeks or months old when the dies were cut.
KM#44.1 distinguishes this from at least one die variant within the type.
