| Obverse description | Central field occupied by multiple horizontal registers of bold Arabic inscription, arranged within a rectangular cartouche bordered by a beaded inner circle. The legends are struck in relief with characteristic Afghan hammered technique, displaying the royal titulature and mint name. The coin exhibits the irregular flan typical of hand-struck rupees of the Durrani period. A pellet-bordered outer ring frames the entire design. The strike is moderately well-centered with typical surface irregularities consistent with the hammered coinage of Qandahar. |
