Obverse description Left-facing crowned effigy of King George VI, depicted with a draped and robed bust wearing the Imperial State Crown. The portrait, engraved by Percy Metcalfe, is rendered in high relief with fine detail on the crown and robe. The circular legend reads 'GEORGE VI KING EMPEROR' surrounding the effigy, with the inscription distributed along the upper and lower periphery of the field. The overall design maintains the formal regal style characteristic of British colonial coinage of the period.
