| Obverse description | The obverse is dominated by multiple horizontal bands of Arabic-script inscriptions in the Nastaliq calligraphic style, filling the entire field. The central legend reads the royal title 'Sulayman Jah', the regnal name adopted by Nasir-ud-Din Haidar, King of Awadh. Additional lines above and below record the mint name, regnal year, and Hijri date. The inscription is contained within a plain circular border, consistent with the Mughal-derived coin tradition of the Awadh kingdom. |
