Obverse description The obverse is dominated by multiple horizontal bands of Arabic-script inscriptions in the Nastaliq calligraphic style, filling the entire field. The central legend reads the royal title 'Sulayman Jah', the regnal name adopted by Nasir-ud-Din Haidar, King of Awadh. Additional lines above and below record the mint name, regnal year, and Hijri date. The inscription is contained within a plain circular border, consistent with the Mughal-derived coin tradition of the Awadh kingdom.

Reverse description The reverse displays the heraldic emblem of the Kingdom of Awadh: a royal crown at centre flanked by two rampant lions, each supporting a flagstaff with a pennant. Beneath the lions, two upright fish — the traditional symbol of Awadh sovereignty — are shown facing each other. The central device is surrounded by a decorative floral border, and additional Arabic inscriptions appear in the upper and lower segments of the field.
