Reverse description The reverse is likewise entirely epigraphic, bearing a five-line Bengali script legend covering the full field without any figural or geometric devices. The inscription reads 'Shri Shri / Hara Gauri / Charana Para / Yana Saka / 1477,' invoking devotion to the feet of Hara and Gauri (Shiva and Parvati) and recording the Shaka era date 1477, corresponding to 1555 CE. The bold, hand-engraved characters display the angular, vigorous style typical of early Koch dynasty issues. The irregular flan edge and slightly uneven surface are consistent with hammered silver production of the period.
