| Obverse description | The obverse bears three horizontal registers of bold Nasta'liq calligraphy filling the entire field, struck in the name of the Mughal emperor Shah Alam II. The uppermost register contains the royal epithet, the central and widest band carries the principal regnal legend, and the lower register records the AH date of issue. The script is deeply engraved in the characteristic Indo-Mughal hammered style, with no border ornamentation beyond the natural coin flan edge. |

| Reverse description | The reverse is entirely covered with bold Nasta'liq script arranged in flowing registers across the field, recording the mint name Ahmednagar Farrukhabad and the frozen regnal year (RY) 31 of Shah Alam II, as struck by the Bangash nawabs of Farrukhabad. The calligraphy is deeply impressed and characteristically robust, consistent with the hammered coinage tradition of the Farrukhabad mint. The combination of mint name and regnal year conforms to standard Mughal-derived provincial rupee typology. |
