Obverse description Left-facing draped and crowned effigy of Queen Victoria after the design by William Wyon, surrounded by a beaded border. A circular 15mm Qu'aiti countermark is applied over the bust, bearing the Arabic legend of Munsir Al-Dawla bin Abdullah Al-Qu'aiti with the Hijri year 1307, validating the coin for use within the Sultanate. The Latin legend 'VICTORIA QUEEN' arcs around the periphery of the host coin.
