Obverse description Bare-headed left-facing bust of King William IV occupying the lower half of the obverse field, with the legend WILLIAM IIII KING. arranged around the periphery. Superimposed over the king's effigy is a circa 15mm circular incuse Qu'aiti countermark bearing a three-line Arabic inscription reading 'al-Munassar' within a recessed punch, applied by the Qu'aiti Sultanate to validate the coin for local circulation. The host coin's denticled border is visible around the rim.
