| Obverse description | Draped bust of Queen Victoria facing left, as per the 1840 East India Company Rupee design by William Wyon, with a divided circular legend around the effigy. A circular Qu'aiti countermark approximately 10mm in diameter has been applied directly over the bust, bearing Arabic inscriptions reading 'Munsir Al Dawla' (Defender of the State) and the Hijri date 1307, validating the coin for circulation within the Qu'aiti Sultanate. The countermark is incuse-struck and clearly distinguishable against the host coin's relief. |
