| Obverse description | Dense Persian-script legend filling the entire field in characteristic Afghan Shahi calligraphic style, arranged in multiple registers divided by a cross-like framework of bold relief lines. Small floral or pellet ornaments are interspersed between the inscription bands, serving as decorative devices. The Hijri date ١٢٩٦ (1296 AH) appears in the upper register. The flan is irregular and slightly concave, consistent with hand-struck production at the Kabul mint. |
