| Obverse description | The obverse displays three horizontal registers of bold Nasta'liq Arabic calligraphy within plain linear borders encircling the field. The uppermost band carries the auspicious phrase 'Sikka Mubarak' accompanied by the AH regnal date. The central and dominant register bears the imperial title 'Badshah Ghazi' flanking the ruler's name 'Muhammad Shah', executed in deeply struck, flowing script. The lower register continues the epigraphic legend. The flan is irregularly shaped and slightly uneven in thickness, characteristic of Mughal hammered silver coinage. |

| Reverse description | The reverse is similarly divided into horizontal registers of Nasta'liq calligraphy framed by raised linear borders. The uppermost band bears the word 'Julus' (accession), followed in the central register by the phrase 'Maimanat Manus' (auspicious to handle), a standard Mughal felicitous epithet. The lower register records the mint name 'Dar-ul-Khilafat Shahjahanabad' together with the regnal year, confirming production at the imperial capital Delhi. The overall die work is bold and deeply impressed, consistent with the standard Shahjahanabad rupee type of Muhammad Shah's early reign. |
