Reverse description Central field carries the mint and regnal year formula in Persian, arranged in bold Naskh calligraphy across three horizontal registers divided by raised lines, reading 'Zarb Munbai Sanat (RY) Julus Maimanat Manus' — 'Struck at Bombay in the [n]th year of the reign of tranquil prosperity'. A decorative floral or dotted ornament appears at the top of the field. The inscription is contained within a plain linear border conforming to the irregular hammered flan, consistent with Bombay Presidency coinage struck in the name of the Mughal emperor.
