| Obverse description | Hammered silver flan bearing a multi-line Persian/Nastaliq script legend arranged across the field in the Mughal epigraphic tradition. The obverse carries the royal titulature of the Mughal emperor Muhammad Akbar II, reading 'Sikka Mubarak Badshah Ghazi Muhammad Akbar Thani' (the auspicious coin of the victorious king Muhammad Akbar II). The inscription is disposed in several registers separated by a horizontal line dividing the field, with the regnal year notation appearing prominently. The script is rendered in a bold, calligraphic Nastaliq style characteristic of late Mughal and Princely State coinage, with pellet ornaments visible in the field. |
