| Obverse description | The obverse bears the Kalima Tayyiba in bold Arabic calligraphy, rendered in the Naskh style across the full field of the coin. The shahada inscription is divided horizontally by a raised line, with the upper portion reading the first part of the declaration of faith and the lower portion completing it. The script is deeply struck in high relief against a granular, irregular flan typical of Afghan hammered coinage. Floral or pellet ornaments are visible in the interstitial spaces of the legend, serving as decorative fillers consistent with contemporary Durrani-era coin design. |
