Obverse description The obverse bears the Kalima Tayyiba in bold Arabic calligraphy, rendered in the Naskh style across the full field of the coin. The shahada inscription is divided horizontally by a raised line, with the upper portion reading the first part of the declaration of faith and the lower portion completing it. The script is deeply struck in high relief against a granular, irregular flan typical of Afghan hammered coinage. Floral or pellet ornaments are visible in the interstitial spaces of the legend, serving as decorative fillers consistent with contemporary Durrani-era coin design.
