| Obverse description | Central field bears a multi-line Arabic inscription in bold Nasta'liq script reading 'Sultan Adil / Mahmud Shah Durani', with dotted ornamental devices separating the lines. An outer circular legend contains the mint name (Peshawar), the Hijri regnal year, and the year of accession, all rendered in the same calligraphic hand. The flan is characteristically irregular in outline, as typical of hammered coinage of the Durrani period. The field shows light granular texture with scattered pellet ornaments framing the central inscription. |

| Reverse description | Central field displays the Kalima (Islamic declaration of faith) in bold Nasta'liq script across multiple lines: 'La ilaha illa Allah / Muhammad rasul Allah' (There is no god but God / Muhammad is the messenger of God). The outer border carries a circular legend naming the Peshawar mint, the Hijri date, and the regnal year of Sultan Mahmud Shah. The reverse is enclosed within a finely executed chevron or leaf-pattern border wreath, a distinctive feature of Peshawar mint coinage of this period. Pellet ornaments punctuate the inscription field throughout. |
