| Obverse description | Hammered silver flan bearing a multi-line Persian legend in bold Naskh script occupying the central field, with the regnal titles of Shah Mahmud Durrani arranged in cartouche form. The Hijri date AH 1217 appears in the lower portion of the field. The coin is struck on an irregular planchet typical of Durrani-era Afghan rupees, with a plain dotted border encircling the legend. |
