| Reverse description | The reverse displays a multi-line Arabic religious legend arranged within a rectangular cartouche, inscribed in Nasta'liq script on a plain field. The upper portion bears the Sunni Kalimah Tawhid followed by the names of the four Rashidun Caliphs — Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and Ali — affirming the Sunni confessional identity of the Hotak ruler. The AH date 1135 is inscribed in the lower register of the cartouche. A dotted border frames the central legend, consistent with the hammered coinage tradition of the period. |
