| Reverse description | Reverse field displays a continuation of the Persian Nastaliq inscription arranged in two registers divided by a horizontal line, consistent with Mughal-derived coinage conventions adopted by the Sikh chiefs of Kaithal. The upper register exhibits bold calligraphic strokes with characteristic pellet embellishments, while the lower register carries further regnal or mint-related legends. The irregular, slightly convex flan shows the characteristic die-sinking and hammer marks of hand-struck production. The overall design closely follows the late Mughal rupee format as adapted by the Phulkian dynasty rulers of Kaithal under Lal Singh. |
