Obverse description Hammered silver flan bearing a four-line Persian-script legend in bold nasta'liq calligraphy occupying the central field, reading 'Nur ud-Din / Muhammad Jahangir / Badshah Ghazi / 1027', referencing the Emperor Jahangir's regnal titles and the Hijri year. The legend is enclosed within a rectangular cartouche formed by a raised beaded border at the top, with a floral and foliate decorative surround filling the remaining field. The coin's irregular flan edge is characteristic of the hammered production technique employed at Mughal provincial mints.
