Obverse description Central field occupied by a bold multi-line Arabic legend in the Naskh calligraphic style, arranged in horizontal registers across the flan. The inscription proclaims the kalima and the name of Emperor Jahangir in raised relief. The legend is framed above and below by linear border elements, with the text extending to the coin's edge. The hammered flan exhibits characteristic irregular margins and surface texture typical of Mughal silver coinage of the early seventeenth century.

Reverse description The reverse presents a bold Arabic inscription in Naskh script arranged across the field in multiple registers, recording the mint name Fatehnagar along with the regnal year or related formula in raised relief. The calligraphy is characteristic of Mughal imperial coinage, with prominent, deeply struck letterforms filling the available field. The hammered flan shows irregular edges and the natural convexity associated with hand-struck Mughal rupees of the Jahangir period.
