| Obverse description | Hammered silver flan bearing a two-line Persian legend in bold Nasta'liq script, divided horizontally by a raised linear band. The upper register contains the Hijri regnal year 1124, while the central field displays the imperial titles and name of Emperor Jahandar Shah — 'Abul Fath Ghazi Jahandar Shah' — in large, flowing characters. The lower register carries the opening hemistich of the coin's couplet. The flan is irregular and slightly uneven in shape, as is characteristic of Mughal hammered coinage of this period. |
