| Obverse description | Central field bearing the emperor's name and titles inscribed in both Persian/Arabic script and Nagari script in a square cartouche, with the AH regnal date 960 incorporated into the legend. The inscription reads 'Sri Islam Shah' in Devanagari characters along the lower register, with the Arabic date flanking the central panel. The lettering is rendered in the characteristic bold, angular style of Sur Empire hammered coinage, with the legends filling the entire flan. |

| Reverse description | Central field occupied by the Kalima Tayyiba inscribed in bold Arabic script arranged in multiple horizontal registers filling the entire flan. The shahada reads 'There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah,' rendered in the fluid, heavily stylised calligraphic hand typical of Sur Empire silver rupees. The inscription is contained within a square frame formed by the continuation of the legend, with no additional border ornaments, consistent with the austere epigraphic style of mid-sixteenth-century Suri coinage. |
