Obverse description Central field features the crescent moon and five-pointed star, the national emblem of Pakistan, rendered in high relief against a plain field. Flanking the lower portion of the crescent are decorative foliate scrolls extending to either side. The Hijri date ۱۴۰۱ appears in Eastern Arabic numerals along the lower exergue. Surrounding Urdu legends in Nastaliq script arc across the upper and lateral fields, reading 'Government of Pakistan' and 'One Rupee'. The entire design is enclosed by a dentilated border.

Reverse description The central field bears the bold Arabic calligraphic inscription 'الهجرة' (Al-Hijra), commemorating the 1400th anniversary of the Islamic Hijra calendar, rendered in large decorative script occupying the majority of the field. The inscription is encircled by a wreath of leafy branches tied at the base, conveying the commemorative nature of the issue. A dentilated border frames the entire reverse design.
