Obverse description Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic legend giving the ruler's name and titles — Habibullah Khan, Siraj al-Millat wa al-Din — enclosed within an open wreath of laurel branches tied at the base. The hijri date ١٣٣٤ (1334 AH) appears in the lower portion of the field, beneath the inscription. A small five-pointed star surmounts the legend at the apex of the wreath. The entire design is rendered in bold relief against a flat, unadorned field typical of Afghan coinage of the early twentieth century.
