Reverse description Central roundel contains an upright khanda (double-edged sword) flanked symmetrically by two crossed laurel or olive branches, forming a heraldic arrangement. Devanagari inscriptions within the roundel read 'Ek Rupaya Nepal' (One Rupee, Nepal). The central roundel is set within a decorative scalloped or lotus-petal border forming a circular inner frame. Around the periphery, additional Devanagari honorific legends appear. A reeded outer border frames the entire reverse design.
