Obverse description The obverse field is entirely occupied by a multi-line Persian-script inscription in bold Nasta'liq calligraphy, arranged in three horizontal registers separated by ruled lines. The legend references George VI as King-Emperor of the British realm and records the mint name Sawai Jaipur together with the regnal year 1939 in Eastern Arabic numerals. The entire central inscription is enclosed within a broad wreath border of stylised arrow-headed leaves rendered in high relief, a characteristic decorative motif of Jaipur princely coinage.
