Obverse description Left-facing crowned effigy of King George V, draped in military uniform with epaulettes and decorations, including a prominent medal at the truncation. The king wears the Imperial State Crown, rendered in fine detail. The legend GEORGE V KING EMPEROR arcs around the periphery, divided between the left and right fields. The border is composed of a continuous raised denticular ring. The portrait is the work of engraver Percy Metcalfe, executed in a refined, high-relief style befitting a British colonial silver issue.
