| Obverse description | Hammered silver flan bearing a multi-line Persian inscription in Nastaliq script, arranged across the field in the characteristic Mughal regal style. The legend is divided by a horizontal line, with the upper portion containing the opening phrase of the imperial couplet and the lower portion completing the verse. The irregular flan and bold, raised lettering are typical of hand-struck coinage produced at provincial Indian mints during the early nineteenth century. |
