| Obverse description | Hammered silver flan bearing a three-line Persian couplet in bold Naskh script arranged within ruled horizontal registers across the field. The legend reads that the coin was struck by divine grace on silver and gold, proclaiming Emperor Farrukhsiyar as sovereign of land and sea. The AH regnal year appears in the lower register. The script is vigorously struck, with characteristic Mughal calligraphic flourishes, and the coin displays the slightly irregular outline typical of hand-struck Mughal rupees. |
