Obverse description Hammered silver flan bearing a central cartouche in the characteristic Mughal style, containing the royal Persian couplet in Nasta'liq script: 'Badshahe Bahr-o-Barr Farrukhsiyar' (King of Land and Sea, Farrukhsiyar), with the Hijri regnal year 1128 AH appearing in the field. The second hemistich 'Fazle Haq bar sim-o-zar Sikka Zad Az' (By the grace of God, struck on silver and gold) completes the obverse legend. A floral rosette ornament is visible to the left of the central inscription, flanked by additional decorative pellets typical of Farrukhsiyar-era coinage. The script is executed in bold relief against a textured, irregular flan consistent with hand-struck Mughal rupees.
