The upper register carries the opening hemistich of the royal legend, the central band presents the emperor's name and titles, and the lower register bears the AH regnal date. The calligraphy is deeply struck, with characteristic Mughal floral flourishes visible at the extremities of several letter forms. The flan is irregularly shaped and shows typical surface granularity associated with hand-struck Mughal coinage. |

The strike is typical of hammered Mughal production, with slight weakness at the periphery. |
