Reverse description Central field bears a multi-line Persian inscription in Naskh script arranged in three horizontal registers, separated by raised linear bands. The regnal year (RY) is inscribed within the legend, accompanied by the mint epithet 'Mustagir-ul-Khilafat' (Established Seat of the Caliphate), the honorific title for the Ajmer mint. Floral leaf ornaments decorate the lower register as is customary on Mughal rupees of this period. The whole design is characteristic of the hammered coinage style prevalent under Farrukhsiyar.
