Obverse description Central field dominated by a stylized leaf motif rendered in high relief, with a frozen (frozen-date) Vikram Samvat date VS 1885 inscribed in Persian script. The design is enclosed within a beaded border, with floral and foliate ornamental elements characteristic of Sikh coinage of the Amritsar mint. The overall composition reflects the traditional Mughal-derived artistic style adapted under Sikh imperial patronage.

The relief work shows the characteristic dense ornamentation of late Sikh Empire coinage.
