| Opis awersu | Hammered silver field bearing bold Arabic script arranged across the flan in the characteristic Mughal rupee style, with a horizontal line dividing the upper and lower registers. Scattered pellets and small square ornamental devices are distributed across the field as mint marks or decorative elements. The legends, struck in the name of the Mughal emperor Shah Alam II, appear partially off-flan due to the irregular hammered planchet, a common feature of this coinage. The coin is struck at the Lashkar mint under the authority of Daulat Rao Scindia (AH 1209-1243 / 1794-1827 AD). The surface shows characteristic granular texture and patination consistent with hammered Indian silver coinage of the late Mughal period. |
