Obverse description Draped bust of Maharaja Sayaji Rao III facing left, adorned with an ornate jewelled crown, elaborate pearl and bead necklace, and richly decorated robes in the Indian princely style. The effigy is contained within a fine inner beaded circle. The Devanagari legend reading 'Shree Sayaji Rao Maharaja Gaekwad' curves around the portrait in the outer field, with a raised beaded border encircling the entire design.
