| Obverse description | Central field features a stylised geometric cross-shaped panel divided into multiple compartments, each containing elements of the traditional Nepalese royal cypher and symbolic ornaments including a trident device at the centre. The royal titulature of King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev is inscribed in Devanagari script across the compartments reading 'श्री श्री श्री श्री ५ बीरेन्द्र बीर विक्रम शाह देव'. The Nepali Sambat date २०५७ (VS 2057) appears in the lower portion. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border, characteristic of Nepalese coinage of this period. |
