| Obverse description | Hammered silver flan bearing Persian script in the name of the Mughal emperor Shah Alam II. The field is dominated by bold calligraphic legends arranged in multiple lines, with the imperial epithet and regal titles rendered in a flowing Naskh style characteristic of late Mughal-influenced Maratha coinage. A horizontal dividing line separates the upper and lower register of the inscription. The overall presentation is typical of Bhonsla-issued rupees struck under Mughal nominal suzerainty. |
