Obverse description Central field features a two-line Persian poetic couplet invoking the ruler's name and titles, all contained within an incuse square cartouche. Floral or foliate ornaments appear at the corners of the central square. Additional inscriptions occupy the areas outside the square in the surrounding field, typical of Mughal hammered coinage. The calligraphy is rendered in Nasta'liq script with bold, flowing strokes characteristic of Aurangzeb-era silver rupees.
