Obverse description The obverse field bears a three-line Persian inscription in elegant nastaliq script, arranged horizontally across the flan and read from bottom to top. The legend comprises a poetic couplet (sikka) glorifying Emperor Aurangzeb Alamgir, likening his coin to a shining full moon illuminating the world. The text is separated by two ruled horizontal lines dividing the field into three registers. A finely beaded border encircles the entire design.

Reverse description The reverse field displays a three-line Persian inscription in nastaliq script, read from bottom to top and divided by two horizontal ruled lines into three registers. The legend records the regnal year, the hijri year, and the mint name Akbarabad (modern Agra), described as 'mustaqarr al-khilafa' (seat of the caliphate). The regnal year numeral appears at approximately the eight o'clock position in the lower register. A beaded border encircles the field, consistent with standard Mughal hammered rupee typology.
