| Descrizione del dritto | Persian-script legend arranged in two registers across the field, divided by a horizontal line, in the Mughal broad-flan tradition. The upper register displays the Hijri regnal year ۱۲۲۸ (AH 1228) flanked by lozenge-shaped ornaments and pellets. The lower register bears the mint and ruler name in flowing Nasta'liq calligraphy, with additional pellet and floral ornaments filling the field. The entire design is characteristic of the Baroda state coinage struck during the reign of Anand Rao (r. 1800–1819 AD / AH 1215–1235). |

| Descrizione del rovescio | Persian-script legend in Nasta'liq calligraphy spread across the field in two sweeping lines, consistent with Mughal-derived provincial coinage conventions. The inscription, partially worn, references the royal titulature and mint formula standard to Baroda rupees of this period. The flat, irregular flan and rough execution are characteristic of the hand-struck technique employed at the Baroda mint during the early nineteenth century. |
