Obverse description The obverse displays bold Nasta'liq calligraphy arranged in three horizontal registers across the field, divided by two raised parallel lines characteristic of Mughal rupee coinage. The central and dominant register bears the kalima shahada and the names of the four Rightly Guided Caliphs in Arabic script. Floral or pellet ornaments are visible between and beside the inscriptions, serving as decorative separators. The legends extend nearly to the coin's rim, which shows a partial border of repeated foliate or geometric motifs. The overall style reflects the standard Mughal hammered flan with slightly irregular margins typical of the period.
