Obverse description Three horizontal bands dividing the field into registers, bearing the royal titulature of the Mughal emperor Alamgir II in flowing Nasta'liq script. The central band prominently displays 'Badshah Ghazi' (Victorious King), with the emperor's name 'Alamgir' appearing in the upper register. The AH regnal date is inscribed in the lower register. Small floral or star ornaments punctuate the junctions of the bands, consistent with late Mughal hammered rupee conventions.
