Obverse description Square hammered flan bearing a bold multi-line Arabic inscription in Naskh script filling the central field, with raised lettering characteristic of Mughal hammered coinage. The legend records the Kalima and the name of the reigning emperor Akbar within a plain linear border. The die-struck text is arranged in three or four horizontal registers across the field, with the strokes of individual letters rendered in high relief against a flat ground. Minor die-shift and planchet irregularities are consistent with hand-struck production at the Ahmadabad mint.
