Obverse description Central field bears the Kalima-e-Tayyaba inscription in Arabic script, reading 'La ilaha illallah Muhammad Rasool Allah' (There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah). The legend is arranged in multiple lines within the coin's irregular round flan, characteristic of Mughal hammered coinage. The script is rendered in a bold, angular style typical of early Akbari silver rupees struck at the Agra mint.
